◆ Our Process
Planning through
final delivery.
Every ADU project moves through four structured phases — no guesswork, no hand-offs.
Step 01
Planning & Feasibility
We evaluate property constraints, project goals, and ADU options before scope development.
Step 02
Design & Engineering Coordination
Design teams and structural engineering are coordinated for compliant, buildable plans.
Step 03
Permitting & Pre-Construction
Permits, city coordination, and scheduling are organized before field work begins.
Step 04
Construction & Final Delivery
We execute construction through completion, inspections, and final walkthrough turnover.
How long does an ADU take to build?+
Timeline varies by type and scope. A garage conversion typically takes 3–5 months. A detached ADU generally runs 5–8 months from permit approval to final inspection. We give you a specific schedule after reviewing your property.
What types of ADUs can you build?+
Detached ADUs, attached ADUs, garage conversions, Junior ADUs (JADUs), backyard cottages, and in-law units. If you're not sure which is right for your lot, we'll help you figure that out in the consultation.
Do you handle the permits?+
Yes. We manage the full permit process — city submissions, plan checks, required inspections, and final sign-off. This includes coordination with the city planning department and any HOA requirements.
Do I need to hire an architect separately?+
Not necessarily. We coordinate design and engineering as part of our process. If you already have an architect or plans, we can work from those directly.
Can I rent out the ADU immediately after completion?+
Yes, once the city has issued a certificate of occupancy. We walk you through the final inspection and sign-off process so you know exactly when you can start renting.
Can I live in my main house during ADU construction?+
Yes. ADU construction typically happens in your backyard or as an addition, so your main living space stays unaffected in most cases.
What's a realistic budget for an ADU in the South Bay?+
Costs vary significantly based on size, type, finishes, and site conditions. After a site visit and review of your goals, we provide a realistic budget range — not a number designed to win the job and change later.
Do you offer financing?+
Yes. We offer 3rd party financing options for qualifying projects.
What areas do you serve?+
Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Gardena, Lawndale, Long Beach, and surrounding communities throughout LA County.
